Mike Aponas’s company, Yamaha Golf & Utility, was recently acquired by the Vernon Holding Company. He is a thirty-‐five year veteran of the golf car industry, having begun his career as a distributor of golf cars for Yamaha in 1978. In 1982, Mike became a sales representative for E-Z-GO/Textron. When he retired from E‐Z-GO in 1982, he purchased the local Yamaha golf car distributorship. Under his leadership, the company grew from $900,000 in sales to approximately $15 million in sales. Mike is currently a consultant for Yamaha Golf Car Company.
