Rhoda Olsen is the CEO of Great Clips, Inc., the world’s largest salon brand. She began her career at Great Clips in 1984 as a consultant involved in developing and delivering the first franchise orientation and in writing the first operations manual.Over the years with Great Clips, she assumed positions in marketing, communications, operations, facilities, and purchasing and was promoted to executive vice-president of franchise services in 1989. In 1998, she was promoted to president and chief operating officer. While concentrating on improving the operations of individual franchises, she was able to triple the total number of franchise salons. During her tenure as president/COO, Great Clips grew from 1000 salons to over 3500 salons in 2013. She was named CEO in 2011. Her focus is on building a legacy brand through continued collaboration and strong relationships with Great Clips franchises.
Ms. Olsen holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Minnesota State University—Mankato. She has served as a guest professor at her alma mater, at the University of Minnesota, and at the University of St. Thomas.
