David is the majority owner and Chief Executive Officer of Engage Technologies Corporation, a Minnesota corporation (“Engage”). Since Engage was founded in 1992, Engage has been a manufacturer of equipment and consumables in the industrial ink jet and packaging industries. A global company with annual revenues of in excess of $50,000,000, Engage has three operating divisions, including Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., Eastey Enterprises, and American Film & Machinery. In 2021, Engage sold and delivered industrial ink jet printing systems and packaging equipment in 63 countries. Engage has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Shanghai Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., and Squid Ink B.V., a Netherlands corporation. Engage currently has offices and plants in Brooklyn Park, Rogers, Big Lake, and Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, Shanghai, China, and The Hague, Netherlands. Prior to becoming the CEO of Engage, David served on Engage’s Board of Directors, and was Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Engage, positions he held since 1997. In addition to his duties with Engage, David was a Capital Partner with the national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a firm of in excess of 650 lawyers with offices in 30 cities across the United States, as well as London UK. David held several management roles with Hinshaw, including Partner-in-Charge of the Minneapolis office, Regional Director, Practice Group Leader, Department Head, Business Development Partner, and he also served as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Previously, David was Chief Operating Officer, Secretary and General Counsel of PDS Gaming Corporation (NASDAQ “PDSG”), a publicly traded financial services company. Prior to his tenure with PDS, David was a partner with the Minneapolis law firm Estes, Parsinen & Levy. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from St Olaf College, and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.
