Jodi Boldenow

Industrial Door Company, Inc., Coon Rapids, MN, was founded in 1974 by Gerry Sizer in the garage of his home with $8,000 he borrowed from his father. Since that time, the company has enjoyed significant growth through product diversification and strategic acquisitions. Industrial Door Company, Inc. now includes three divi-sions, IDC-Automatic Garage Door, Industrial Spring Company and Holmes Spring Manufacturing employing 150 people with locations in Minnesota, Arizona and Ohio.

The company began the succession planning process in 1998 and has since successfully made the transition to 2nd generation ownership and management with Jodi (Sizer) Boldenow as President and CEO of the company, and her brother Jeremy Sizer as Vice President and Director of Operations. Growing up in the family business Jodi considers herself a garage-door-girl at heart. “My father was the very best business teacher I could have had. But, admittedly, I’ve also had to learn many valuable business lessons on my own by trial and error.” Jodi enjoys sharing lessons she’s learned.
